No. Anyone with the voting link can vote directly in their browser — no account or sign-up required. Only the decision creator needs a Chooseday account.
After creating a decision, copy the shareable link from the decision page and paste it into Slack, Teams, email, WhatsApp, or anywhere your team communicates.
Three modes: majority vote (highest count wins), ranked choice (instant-runoff voting where voters rank options and eliminations run until a winner emerges), and dot voting (each voter allocates a fixed number of points across options).
When anonymous mode is enabled, individual votes are never stored against a voter's identity. Results show vote counts only — nobody, including the decision creator and workspace admins, can see who voted for what.
Chooseday automatically closes the vote and declares the winner based on the voting method. The result is permanently saved in your dashboard. Stakeholders who provided their email receive a notification.
Yes. Open the decision in your dashboard and click "Close now" to end voting immediately and declare the current winner. On the Slack app (Team plan), use /chooseday close [id].

Go to Settings → Billing in your Chooseday dashboard to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period — you keep access until then.
The native Slack app is available on the Team plan. Go to Settings → Integrations → Connect Slack. You'll be taken through the Slack OAuth flow. Once connected, use /chooseday create in any channel.
Yes — by sharing a voting link. Create a decision in Chooseday, copy the link, and paste it anywhere your team works. The link works in Teams chat, Zoom invite descriptions, Notion pages, WhatsApp groups, Jira tickets, and anywhere else.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Disconnect. You can also revoke access from your Slack workspace settings under Installed Apps.
